Quick Tips On Hiring Assistants Using Effective Business Systems

It's all about having the right systems and if you have the right system for hiring assistants in your business, then you'll get the right people. Once you've got the right people, the rest falls into place. So the idea of A players versus B players is, now B players will make an excellent system average, whereas an A player will make an average system excellent. So a reason for having A players is, even if your systems aren't in place, at least get your hiring system in place and make sure that gets you A players. If you can get A players on board, then they're going to lift all those other systems up.
Rich Schefren and Brian Johnson's work on systems is valuable. They're really good at this sort of thing. That's a good place to start if you want to find out a little bit more.
As far as the system architect is concerned, the person who is creating quality business systems, you need to first define what the problem is or what the objective of that system is. So step one, what is it that you're trying to get as your outcome? A system is a pre defined, repeatable process to produce consistent results. So you need to know what that outcome is first before you can find out what that predefined repeatable process is.
So the architect needs to understand that. They need to first, this is where I think you should start, is you must first do the task yourself. Once you do the task, then you need to nut out, step by step exactly what it is that you're doing and try and break it down to a granular thing where you say, step one, load up Google. Step two, type in free keyword research tools, step three click on the link, step four, start with a broad phrase, then try and drill down deeper. Whatever the process might be, you have to try and get that out of your head. That's really important.
Another thing to remember in hiring assistants as well when you give someone a system and they're following it for the first time, the chances are they're never going to be able to complete it straight off the bat as good as the architect. So if they do it at eighty percent or seventy percent, that's fine, and over time they'll improve and develop. So don't expect them to do it at the level of the architect.
You want to get it where any team member can follow it and get a consistent result. So that's why you really break it down step by step exactly what it is that you're doing.
Then we come to the idea of documenting the process in hiring assistants today. I like to create those precise steps and notes. More detail means you will get it done cheaper and you'll get it done faster and you'll get it done closer to what it is that you're looking for. The more detail that you can have in those job specs or that system that you're looking to create, the better. You really just want to take it down to the granular level.
