There are many marketing techniques that are so simple, they are often overlooked. However, even though they are so simple, they can be quite effective when implemented properly.
One of these overlooked marketing techniques is the idea that if you give someone something for free, they will feel obligated to give you something back. This desire is natural and so it may be an urge that they will not even recognize.
Even though this idea is so simple, it is often overlooked because it is not an easily measurable return. It also takes some kind of investment, which you may not be able to earn back in the form that you hope to, namely capital.
The second concept that is often forgotten is that if you give your customers a taste of what you have to offer, they are much more likely to be impressed and hire your services than if you put an experienced salesperson in front of them. This concept is implemented more often, but it could still be used more by companies.
Warehouse stores are a good example of facilitating this concept. They allow other companies to come and represent their product while handing out free samples to customers.
Nights where food is handed out is an attraction for people to visit Costco more and when people try various products they are much more likely to buy them. It is too easy pass a certain item on a shelf when it is surrounded by a whole bunch of other items.
Once you introduce a customer to a baseline product and they like it, they are much more likely to purchase a more expensive and improved version. This concept includes a little of the first concept as well.
The third concept that you have to make sure you include with your offer is the idea that it is 'extra special' in some way. When you are dating someone, you probably want to impress him or her.
One thing that you may do is try to cook him or her a delicious cake. However, instead of simply making a chocolate cake from a box, you may throw in extra chocolate bits and top it with strawberries.
You will do anything within your budget, and sometimes outside of your budget, and your abilities to make everything you do for the other person 'extra special.' It is important to do the same thing when you are trying to market your item to your customers.
Your item or service must stand in some way from all of those offered by your competitors. By making something 'extra special' you will stand out and customers will come to you for a product or service over and over.
In addition, they will tell their friends about you. This is critical to the success of your business. The fourth concept that you will need to be able to implement is networking.
The importance of networking is often not emphasized or used enough. This is often because networking begins with your neighbors or the people you already know.
Too many people are embarrassed to tell the people they know about what they are selling because it exposes themselves to potential ridicule. However, these are the people who are most likely to want to help you and which will be able to help you the most.
These people may go the extra mile to help you or may donate more than you could ask or hope for. If you are starting a new business, this could be critical to the success of your business.
The fifth thing you should make sure you do is whatever you need to do to been seen. You need to attract attention or you will never get any clients.
There are so many companies out there that may appear similar to your own company. You must stand out and you can do this by making sure that you are seen.
Use gorilla advertising if you have to. It is critical to the success of your business. Of course, throughout the growth of your company you must continually be persistent.
You can never stop doing any of these things or your market share will decrease. Persistence is also a key to the success of your business.
The next thing you need to make sure you do is find good partners to work with. It is important to realize that you are not going to have the answers to everything.
With these strategies, you may find more marketing and sale success for your company. Today is the perfect day to begin to implement them.
