CMS Web Design applications have proved to be the best in the industry so far. Anyone who is interested in building user friendly and search engine friendly web sites should take a look at the various possibilities that CMS’s are offering. Content Management using CMS has made it more SEO friendly and simpler for developers with less technical knowledge.

There are many leading CMS’s that are revolving around in the internet world now, for example Joomla, Drupal and Wordpress. They are known to be the best Open Source CMS’s for CMS Web Design. The content management has become a lot easier then what it used to be and websites look more attractive and user friendly. Web Designing has come a long way with the help of CMS and far simpler for non technical users.

But as they say even leading brands have scope for improvement and this is how CMS’s are keeping themselves updated and modernized. As for Joomla, it is a pre installed application which is good for almost any kind of site. It has all the necessary functionalities and with a few extensions it can work pretty well for you. Joomla 1.5 has a powerful architecture and the template coding is simply implementing the views in the MVC structure. Drupal on the other hand is a very useful framework for sites such as blogs, networkings, community sites etc. However it also has its own drawbacks, like it does not let you do things beyond its set framework, for that you will have to customize and add modules. On the other hand it has an excellent user permission control which lets you grant accesses at every level and not to forget it’s awesome ‘Views’ module for customizing content presentation.

Another leading CMS to talk about is Wordpress, which can beat both Drupal and Joomla in terms of usability. But, the sad part is that it needs a lot of customization to make it as useful as any other CMS. It can rather be used for blogging.

Coming to the point of this article, is that is it fair to go beyond these leading CMS’s. Well may be yes. Concrete5 is what we are going to discuss about. Concrete5 is another CMS that is built on the same lines as many other leading CMS’s for Web Design. It is the PHP/MySQL platform. It also claims that it can prove to be better then Drupal and Joomla in terms of Superior Code as well as usability. Well users say it the best when used for updating web pages and customizing templates and design. Page elements can be added with simply dragging and dropping them and front page editing is much efficient then Drupal or Joomla.

If we talk about the popularity of Concrete5 then it might be same as any common site-builder, but the amount of flexibility, control and possibility of extending functionalities it provides is very much comparable with some of the leading CMS’s in the market. And at the end of the day it is you research and requirement that will advise you which CMS to go for.
