It can be really frustrating to find out that after months of waiting for a marketing effort to work, you still don't get any substantial results. Trying the same method over gain will definitely not fix the problem. An SEO strategy for instance, will definitely take a month or more to take create results. But after a long time of waiting, if the strategy still does not generate any god results, then something must be wrong.
Below are some of the SEO mistakes that will consequently result to its failure. If you have one of these practices, then it is time to make some changes to your usual SEO techniques and make it work for your own website, eventually.
Spreading too many links – yes, link building is one of the basic steps in search engine optimization, but sometimes, out of desperation to gain some site visibility, SEO or linkbuilder staff often exaggerate the links, that it can be considered as spamming. This will not only lower the visibility of the website, this can even lead to search engines blocking the website. This is something completely dangerous, thus spreading out the links should be done moderately and these links should always be relevant and of high quality.
Excessive keywords in one page – upon learning that SEO is all about selecting the right keywords and incorporating them into a website, some marketing staff immediately jump into filling the entire page with these keywords that it almost don't make sense. Yes, this can work for search engines, but it would still be the users who will determine the conversion rates of the site. With an unsubstantial website page, one cannot really expect visitors to linger and consider what it still has to offer.
Considering SEO as a one-stop strategy – at times business owners consider
SEO as a project that they can simply end once they have an output. What they don't realize is that this kind of marketing effort does not have a concrete output that they can easily take a hold of. The
output of SEO needs to be constantly maintained, or else the website or the business itself will lose its competitive edge.
