Advice for Staying in Shape This Winter
by Kyle Bardot(1)Engine Media Group
It is becoming dark earlier, the heat clicks on, the door and windows stay shut. Yes everyone, winter is coming! Between Thanksgiving feasts, Christmas/Chanukah, and the freezing temperatures many people begin to notice their mid section swelling. My advice to keep off those holiday pounds: purchase a gym membership.
If you are like me you do not enjoy spending your hard earned cash on things and then letting them go to waste, so spend a little money and join that gym down the street. If you do not feel comfortable exercising in front of other people, look into joining Snap Fitness, Curves, Club Fitness, etc. These small gyms are open 24 hours, have tons of locations, and are usually relatively empty if you can avoid peak times.
If you think a membership is too expensive, then negotiate! Most gyms are willing to waive the enrollment fee and possibly decrease your monthly fees. The trick is to act uninterested. Gyms want to get you enrolled even if it is for $10/month. Never, I repeat, never agree to their standard prices.
